According to Turn 10 Studios, Forza Motorsport 7 is the most comprehensive, beautiful and authentic racing game ever made. After playing it for hours on end—even staying up to make sure we got through the campaign—we definitely agree.
The combination of the updated soundtrack and the reimagined career mode does wonders for the game and makes even a simulation title more appealing to everyone. Before we started playing Forza Motorsport 7, we thought it would just be a rehashed version of Forza Motorsport 6.
Single-player mode has been overhauled dramatically in Forza Motorsport 7. Instead of tedious and repetitious championships that force the player to play through the same tracks using different vehicles, Forza Motorsport 7 freely allows the player to progress through each series—if the requirements are met—without having to grind through unenthusiastic races. Giving players the choice is important to make the title more accessible and feel less of a grind.
Forza Motorsport 7 is more collection-focused this time around. For most people they are doing short races, I doubt many people will get into multiple hours for a single race. This thought also applies to dynamic weather. How often should a race to change between rain and clear during an actual race?
It could be tied to the race percentage length. Different temperature, different visibility, different tyre usage. If we are talking about a true sim then the time should be as close to real life as possible. Now, if the next Forza Motorsport allowed people to race with hours long endurance races with optional increased time, tyre wear, fuel usage, etc… that would be a lot of fun.
How far are we from Forza Horizon 5? Depends on the next Forza Motorsport really. I would expect FH5 to be along with Fable. I would want a next gen only version of FH5 so would that be possible next fall or too early?
It should be !!! How do you tell when you need fuel in the endurances? I've never run them in Forza before. I'm leaving the longer ones till last Originally Posted by: Stu How do you tell when you need fuel in the endurances? Then realising it was the wet one made it worse. An endurance prototype at Le Mans, at night is pretty much THE thing I have always dreamed about for endurance racing. The fastest racing cars outside of Formula 1 at the most famous track outside of Formula 1. I fond it a bit odd though that the Le Mans one isn't longer, almost like you know it's the most famous endurance race and it's not the biggest one. But hey. I got 3 left, Sebring, Bathhurst and Le Mans. Sebring is definitely the worst, I already did it once and didn't win.
I'm considering taking the AI way down to just get it over with. I have like 40,, credits so it's not like I need the money and it might prevent me from breaking my wheel or TV if I do it again and fail. I'm about to head off and do Bathhurst right now I think.
Bathhurst took 59 minutes and 30 seconds on pro with sim damage. I managed to do 2 endurances last weekend, Le Mans and Sebring and I can say for sure that Sebring is a pure annihilation if you don't know what you are doing.
On Unbeatable with the runaway AI I had to always defend the first place through the whole race. The puddles were a tough challenge. In the end I leveled up 28 times and got 25 level affinity with Audi but I my hands hurt and I nearly got a headache.
The Le Mans one was not as bad but still not easy. Literally the only thing you can see is your headlights. Turn 10 were not kidding. I really admire the people who do this IRL, now I know what they are put through. I plan to do the rest of the endurance races soon and I really look forward to it, they are a lot of fun.
And btw if anyone wants advice for Sebring here goes: take the Audi quattro, the AWD is a must in the rain, stay of the puddles, for the unavoidable mid-lap one go through it flat out and with full stearing to the left, if you do it right you won't go in the grass and you might even win some time against the AI as they are bad in this section of the track.
And also take breaks, I made the mistake not to and couldn't keep my eyes open at the end. Best of luck with these fun races! The miles, miles and indycar ones took around an hour, Sebring took about 2 hours, only got LeMans and Daytona left. A tip is that if its a really long race with a lower class you can bump up the difficulty, when you come to lap them the AI tend to follow them around alot which will allow you to catch up.
