What is the difference between 118d and 120d

Re: d d mechanical differences Post by poiuytre » Sun Nov 08, pm I recall reading that the injection pressure is higher for the d and that the d has an oil cooler but the d does not.

I know this as looked into it all when deciding between a d and d. It turned out the d is extensively different. And I confirmed all of them parts by looking at replacements through BMW. Re: d d mechanical differences Post by eku1s » Sun Nov 15, pm Okay, fair enough, thanks. That's interesting. Maybe that's why the clutch is different? Re: d d mechanical differences Post by Fredster » Mon Nov 16, am Steering weight is massively determined by what software revision your ECU is on.

Introduced towards the end of its life, the M Sport Shadow Edition builds on the regular M Sport with darker inch alloy wheels, cruise control, darkened front and rear lighting units, Harman Kardon sound system, rear parking sensors and an M Sport braking system upgrade.

You have a wide range of choice when it comes to engines in the BMW 1 Series, and except for the d xDrive model, there are no exclusions for choosing either three- or five-door models. If running costs are at the top of your priority list, the d engine is the one to pick offering an impressive combined fuel consumption figure of Despite the low running costs, performance figures are pretty good too with its 1.

Other diesel choices include the hp d and hp d, both of which use the same four-cylinder diesel engine in three different tuning set ups. There was also a d available previously with hp. The d offers a good mix of running costs with performance, the hp and Nm of torque can get you from mph in 8.

This version will complete the mph sprint in just 6. If you prefer the refinement of a petrol engine and plan to travel shorter trips in a more urban environment, there's an equally extensive range to choose from. Things kick off with the 1.

If you need more power, the i produces hp, and is very smooth and powerful, with a mpg time of just 7. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard for most new 1 Series cars, but you can also choose an automatic gearbox on all engines, and is an excellent fit.

This is only heightened further with its performance model, the Mi. Despite the sporty handling and quick performance, running costs are not as bad as you may think, as it's capable of returning up to 40mpg if you're careful. Ok ta, i'm only young 21 been driving 3 years and have had a crash before lol so I wouldn't know how a 2litre diesel effects my insurance, not much from a d?

I hate to point out the obvious but the d is a 2. Thanks for the info, want the SE as a minimum ideally, i'd want leather seats and heated seats also, will check out the site more. I've got the SE - Nice little car, did my th mile in it today got it about 6 weeks ago Any Q's just ask.

I was surprised how much headroom there is in a 1 series. It's to allow for the head size of the type of person that buys a 1 series. What ever you do I had a Mini Cooper S and got a d when it was in for a service. Great engine in it. I wanted a bigger car and decided to go for it! Its great on the motorway Only problem i had was with break disks. They use modified 3 series disks and pads for it and it kept rubbing against the wheel.
