After missing several deadlines, Delhi finally got the Signature Bridge on November 5, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated it. Kejriwal went forward and formed his own political party after an unsuccessful attempt at bringing the Jan Lokpal Bill through the IAC campaign in He is also a Magsaysay award winner for his work on the grassroots through his organisation Parivartan.

Kejiwal was first elected as the Delhi Chief Minister in but resigned after 49 days claiming that he was unable to bring the Jan Lokpal Bill he had promised because his party did not enjoy a full majority in the house. The L-G, who is to be appointed by the President, will be advised by a council of ministers.

However, in cases pertaining to land, police, and public order, the LG had the freedom to not consult the ministers. Article AA 4 provides a mechanism to refer a matter to the President of India in case of a difference of opinion between the L-G and the Delhi government or, in other words, the council of ministers.

There have been two reasons for this. One is that that the regional leaders are feeling suppressed by the one-man show the AAP is becoming.
