Cons: For some reason, when I opened the box, the entire unit was covered in oil. For its size, this air conditioner is loud! Its almost the same decibel as what you'd hear in your auto mechanic's shop. Overall Review: Newegg needs to know how to properly package their items. The entire box was falling apart. Once I cut the two nylon straps, the entire box fell apart.

My wife and I both love this unit. Would definitely recommend this item to anyone. The air conditioner is has to be emptied often but the worst part is it started gurgling and shooting water out of the front where the cool air comes out.
We love our other Whynter dual hose portable ac but this one is not worth it at all. One person found this helpful. Your money will be better tossed away. This product started out really good. Alas, it went downhill quickly. After 2 days of use, it stopped cooling, so, my "maintenance guy" husband checked it out, it turns out you have to tip almost completely forward to make it drain, to get it to cool again.
Since we have it in the work shop, and started it earier in the day, with nobody to check it, we wasted a lot of electricity getting it to blow warm air. So, we decide to send it back. Then, once the company got it back, they " claimed" the item wasn't defective I don't have that kind of money to waste in our business either, but, hey, live and learn.
The lesson from all of this is, "don't buy anything from Amazon that is heavy, shipping is ridiculous, and don't agree to a restocking fee at the company's disgression.

I have no problems with water , evaporates like they say it does. I can always hook up a condensate pump from water drain if need to. I really like the size, I can put it under a table, its easy to move around. I would buy it again. And the shipping was prompt and really fast. I find it cools a max of 4 degrees under ambient. I'm not regretting the purchase but there are better units out there. This unit works very well!!! I am surprised how quiet it actually is and cools very well. The portability for its size is nice too.
