It was raunchy to count as a Rated-R film. Reuben feels a connection straight away, and tries constantly to get her to like him. But it's not going to be easy for Reuben, especially when he spends his days calculating risks, and when someone unexpected turns up. For the most cautious man on Earth, life is about to get interesting. Rated PG for sexual content, language, crude humor and some drug references. Did you know Edit. Reuben says "You are bleeding" and we see as Van Lew reaches into his mouth that a tooth is missing then when he pulls a tooth out he has a perfect set of teeth.

The plot is very similar to There's Something About Mary and it even steals from an episode of Friends. The film is not very original so that's one strike against it lucky for the film it has a funny cast.
What really makes this movie work is Philip Seymour Hoffman, he is hilarious as Sandy and he is the best part about this movie. The rest of the supporting cast is funny including Hank Azaria as the scuba instructor and Alex Baldwin as Reuben's boss. Ben Stiller is funny but its getting tiring to see him in the same role. Jennifer Aniston pretty much plays her Rachel character and she's enjoyable. The problem though is that Ben and Jen don't make a realistic couple.

Ben and Jen have perfect chemistry through the whole movie. This movie should have been a bigger hit, this is one of Ben's funniest movies.

Anyone that has seen this type of movie before particularly the superior 'Theres Something About Mary' will know exactly what to expect, namely all manner of crazy scenarios in which Ben Stiller is able to do what Ben Stiller does, and that includes the now mandatory silly dance. There are a number of funny moments throughout this movie, many provided by the excellent Philip Seymour Hoffman as a washed up 80's movie star, and for any men in the audience Aniston is as gorgeous as ever.
